Attorney

Megan Pettis, Esq.

Megan Pettis brings a unique depth of experience and empathy to her work at Atlanta Holistic Family Law. Before becoming a family law attorney, Megan spent over a decade in law enforcement, serving as a decorated officer and detective in both New Orleans and Atlanta. Her years investigating complex cases, including domestic violence and human trafficking, shaped her into a strong and compassionate advocate for her clients.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from Tulane University, where she focused on law enforcement responses to domestic violence. She later earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law, after receiving the John E. Ryan Merit Scholarship at John Marshall Law School. During her legal studies, Megan gained invaluable experience through internships with the Georgia Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, and the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.

Megan’s career in law enforcement was marked by distinction. She was named Officer of the Year in New Orleans in 2010 and became the first female Valedictorian of the Atlanta Police Academy. Her leadership extended to training officers on domestic violence response and investigating human trafficking at the state level.

Today, Megan dedicates her legal career exclusively to family law, where she combines her investigative instincts with compassion and clarity to help clients navigate difficult transitions with confidence. She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.

Outside the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and family. A proud New Orleans Saints fan, she never misses a good football game.
